A beautiful card to a sweetheart
Charlie sent this token to Miss Rowley 9th February 1912; perhaps a Valentine greeting? The message, Dearest, I don’t know what to put on this one, well nothing that a postman dare read. How charming, just like you. L Charlie.
Did Charlie and Miss Rowley ever marry, were they happy together or did Charlie become part of that generation destroyed by “The Great War”?
The image is anonymous but I like to think that it bore a striking resemblance to Miss Rowley and that she and her Charlie were happy together into old age

My wife, bless her tells me that I am rapidly becoming, or perhaps that should read have become a “Grumpy old fart”, so what better forum to spread my doom, gloom and paranoia than WordPress.
