My wife, bless her tells me that I am rapidly becoming, or perhaps that should read have become a “Grumpy old fart”, so what better forum to spread my doom, gloom and paranoia than WordPress. I also have a love of old pictures, postcards and Edwardian Actresses, in particular Miss Gabrielle Ray which I hope to share at regular intervals. As my collection has grown I have set up another blog which contains only pictures of Miss Ray. Gabrielle Ray Thank you for viewing and comments are welcome.

honestly, where do u find these one, your entire house must be filled with these naughty postcards… just wondering what yr wife is collecting 🙂
She mainly collects jewellery LOL and given the number of things I collect there isn’t much room left. I’m off to another collectors fair tomorrow, well today now, hoping for some more Gabrielle Ray cards.
sweet, love the fairs, have just started with my stampcollection again after a 5 year hiatus and damn, fairs are fun, had so forgot about that 🙂 probably won’t tell my girlfriend how much I spent there on things I really really don’t need 🙂
I collect stamps as well, well the presentation packs – not sure if that really counts, but it is quite expensive especially trying to collect from the start.
oh yeah, that counts 🙂 have been collecting for 30 years now and its getting really expensive now (only collect American stamps and stamps of JFK). but postcards I only collect now and then when I find something about my hometown. So far not too expensive a hobby… *knock on wood*
I started in 1984 when my son was born. I intended to just collect the christmas presentation packs, but it has grown to the point where I have a list in my wallet of the ones still outstanding – sad – so sad LOL
