Maria Margarethe Anna Schell (15th January 1926, Vienna – 26th April 2005, Preitenegg, Carinthia) was an Austrian actress, who won the Volpi Cup for Best Actress at the Venice Film Festival in 1956 for Gervaise.

Frances Louise McDormand (born 23rd June 1957) is an American film, stage, and television actress. She won the Academy Award for Best Actress in 1996 for her role as Marge Gunderson in Fargo.
