  1. Oh my how I loved her voice! I even got to like that “Me and Bobby McGee” song eventually, despite the teasing I got from my friends when it was on the radio. Even still, I decided to go by “Mak” from then on!

    • I thought, well still do that her voice is so original. When she played in London at the Royal Albert Hall but my Mother wouldn’t let me go, yes sad but true. There is a picture of her outside the Royal Albert and she has a small stain on her left upper thigh, it was said to be from “using” don’t know whether that was true or not but it was a sad loss when she died. Great performer, I have most of her LP’s and still play her CD’s, much to the chagrin of my kids 🙂
