Betty Bronson

I  have just reveived this rather nice postcard of Betty Bronson (17th November 1906 – 19th October 1971)  an American television and film actress  who began her career during the silent film era. The card comes from the silent film Ben Hur made in 1925

  1. Wasn’t she lovely as Mary? Am watching the 1925 Ben Hur right now, so much better than the 50’s version. I didn’t realise that they had found a copy with the original two-strip technicolor. There is a beautiful image of Miss Bronson at http://wondersinthedark.wordpress.com/2010/01/19/ben-hur-a-tale-of-the-christ-no-69/

    • Thank you Deborah, yes she was lovely, I still haven’t seen her performance but perhaps the BBC will show it.
