Fun time on the underground
I found this on Degraded Damsels, the captions probably aren’t to everyone’s taste but it certainly made me smile, such a warped mind 👿
1920’s bride
An interesting postcard of a bride wearing a black or dark coloured dress, I thought that it was unusual but wondered whether the wedding had been arranged before a family member died and she was still in mourning. The back of the card is plain with a dividing line to separate the message from the area for the address with W.W. at the bottom, this I understand from Helmfried Luers of The Postcard Album stands for Weber Weich which was the photo paper brand. He is also of the opinion that the bride may have been either German or Austria (Bohemia) where a dark coloured dress, possibly a dark blue wasn’t uncommon.
