American Parlour Maid c1900
This cabinet card from Boston was advertised as a Parlour Maid, she has the lace cap and apron that suggests this but they were also worn by young women during this era. Interestingly she appears to have short cropped hair which was unusual, either way it is a lovely card.

My wife, bless her tells me that I am rapidly becoming, or perhaps that should read have become a “Grumpy old fart”, so what better forum to spread my doom, gloom and paranoia than WordPress.
