Victorian Servants
I received this trio of cards this morning but as usual there wasn’t any accompanying information with them other than the “Artist” presumably the photographer had a studio at 342 Great Clowes Street, Higher Broughton, Salford. They may be servants although the Quaker style uniform looks a little strange, I like the the fact that the woman seated on her friends knees in picture number 3 has nice buckles on her shoes.
Dancing on the beach (Furia 1782-1)
“We never danced.”
“No, we never danced, but we will dance again.”
Such a cad, he promised her moonlight and dancing on the beach 😉
