My wife, bless her tells me that I am rapidly becoming, or perhaps that should read have become a “Grumpy old fart”, so what better forum to spread my doom, gloom and paranoia than WordPress. I also have a love of old pictures, postcards and Edwardian Actresses, in particular Miss Gabrielle Ray which I hope to share at regular intervals. We went to Harriets Cafe Tea Rooms in Bury St Edmunds complete with waitresses in uniforms, very 1940’s sadly they didn’t look like this but the tea was nice
My favourite is Betty’s Cafe in York, but as you say, sadly their uniforms does not look like the ones on your picture either. But the tea and cakes are quite delicious 😉
We missed Betty’s when we went to York 😦
I studied for two years in York, so I practically lived at that cafe 😀
We had our honeymoon there, lovely city
