Gipsy girl
I recently bought a postcard from a seller on Etsy, with my purchase came a printed tag of a “gipsy” girl, I liked the look of the card and enquired whom she might be, the seller didn’t know but said that she had a similar card of the same young girl, under the stamp was a hidden massage which she believes not to be a love message but written in Kurrent script which uses some different letters than modern German. The writing was banned by the Nazi’s in 1941 for containing “Jewish letters.” It’s interesting that postcards are often used to remind us of happy times and amuse but sometimes they remind us of some of the worst times in history.
