Mary Pickford – 1929
This photograph was used in an article entitled “Star in Search of her Past) 12th May 1964.
“It is the start of a sentimental journey for Mary Pickford, star of the silent films.
Now in her seventies, she has set herself the task of seeking out all the films that made her famous in the past 50 years.
The search will take her through Britain, to Spain, France and Belgium.
And then she has got them all she plans to use them for a documentary film of her life.
Today she arrived at Southampton in the liner United States with her husband, Charles “Buddy” Rogers.
