On Monday last Ipswich’s new kinema, the Regent, was opened by the Mayor of the borough (Dr. J. F. C. Hossack). A. E. Newbould, P.C.T.’s publicity manager, welcomed the Mayor.
The Mayor, in declaring the theatre open, said that it was owned by a British company, it was designed by a British architect, and built by British labour, and lie hoped that the management would exhibit a good proportion of British films.
