I think that this is probably late 1890’s, the child on the right obviously wasn’t going to sit still for the family photos 😀

Change of Scenery
“New York: Back in the 1890’s a daring young Miss would sport a bathing suit like the one that 18 year old Diane King is wearing at left. In the centre, she is shredding the “coverall” to get down to the modern all-paper bikini which will be seen on the beaches this summer. At right, she’s stepping into the pool at the City Square Motor Inn here to give the suit a proper testing. Reports were that the suit stood up as well in the water as did Diane” (17th June 1968)
